Seattle Jobs Initiative’s successful model is based on unique partnerships that bring together many local organizations with a common goal: improving services and outcomes for low-income adults. We partner with community-based organizations to create a comprehensive system of recruitment and case management. We partner with community colleges to create effective, short-term training programs in growing industries. Our partnerships with hundreds of local businesses seeking qualified employees naturally link our students to quality internships and jobs.

"The partnership between South Seattle Community College and Seattle Jobs Initiative has allowed us to build on eachother's strengths to help low-income residents gain a foothold in manufacturing jobs."
—Jill Wakefield, President, South Seattle Community College
"I have been in the employment and training field for the past 28 years and SJI is one of few agencies that puts people before process. No wonder their outcomes are so good."
—Alan Sugiyama, Executive Director, Center for Career Alternatives
