Seattle Jobs Initiative is pleased to announce that on April 4, Sukanya Pani joined the organization as Deputy Director of Operations. Sukanya comes to SJI from Year Up Puget Sound, where she served as Director of Student Services, and contributes extensive leadership and management experience to the team. A Washington University MSW alumna, Sukanya brings a strong background in community advocacy, case management, and program development and implementation to the organization. We are excited to have her on board!
SJI thanks outgoing Deputy Director Laura Rowley for her years of leadership and looks forward to working with her in her new capacity as Co-Director of Consulting and Professional Services. To accommodate the rapid growth in demand for SJI’s consulting services, Laura and Director of Policy David Kaz will be co-directing SJI’s new Consulting and Professional Services line of business. Focused on increasing SJI’s impact by assisting the agencies and organizations working to help people move from poverty to self-sufficiency work more effectively and increase their capacity, the department will work with other SJI teams to identify and develop areas of expertise and tested solutions that can be shared with other organizations. Current work includes the SNAP to Skills Project, RISE Pilot, and SNAP E&T consulting with the State of Kentucky and Hennepin/Ramsey County, MN.
