On Sept. 20, 2018, SJI hosted its Annual Conference, Equity by Design. The day featured Dr. Virginia Eubanks, author of Automating Inequality: How High-Tech Tools Profile, Police, and Punish the Poor, as the keynote speaker. Supporting Dr. Eubanks’ keynote were three workshop facilitators: Kirsten Harris-Talley, Anjulie Ganti and Joel Fariss. Each workshop offered hands-on, skill-building exercises for attendees to utilize within their own organizations.
