For Immediate Release: Seattle Jobs Initiative Announces the Departure of Executive Director Ryan Davis

Seattle, WA – March 12, 2025 – Seattle Jobs Initiative (SJI) announces that Executive Director Ryan Davis will be stepping down from his role today. Over the past five years, Ryan has been instrumental in advancing Seattle Jobs Initiative’s mission and profoundly impacting the communities we serve. His passion and dedication have left an enduring legacy, and we extend our deepest gratitude for his remarkable leadership.

Ryan will join SJI’s valued partner, the Machinist Institute, where he will oversee their education programs. This transition underscores his continued commitment to workforce development and education, and we wish him great success in his new endeavor.

During this transition, Kevin Osborn, Seattle Jobs Initiative’s Vice President of Operations, will serve as Interim Executive Director. Kevin’s extensive experience and steadfast leadership ensure a seamless continuation of the organization’s work and commitment to its vision.

To ensure a smooth succession and continued excellence, Seattle Jobs Initiative is currently in the process of contracting with a professional search firm to spearhead the recruitment of a new Executive Director. Details about the hiring process and opportunities for community engagement in the selection will be shared soon.
